Meghan Markle recalls royal meeting with podcast guest During Her Time as a Royal at Kensington Palace. She recently shared a sweet memory on her new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder. She was chatting with Reshma Saujani, who started the nonprofits Girls Who Code and Moms First. Meghan and Reshma first met in 2018 at Kensington Palace, when Meghan was still a working royal — and pregnant with her son, Archie!

Meghan said, “Oh my gosh, yes. It would have been 2018, pregnant with Archie at Kensington Palace.”

Reshma was in London trying to bring Girls Who Code to the UK, and Meghan met with her to learn more about the group. Meghan remembered sitting with Reshma and saying, “Tell me all about it.”

Back then, Meghan had just married Prince Harry and lived at Kensington Palace while doing royal duties. A few months later, she and Harry moved to Frogmore Cottage as they prepared to start their family.

Meghan and Harry later stepped back from their royal roles in 2020 and now live in California with their two kids, Archie and Lilibet. Even though they’re no longer working royals, Meghan is still passionate about supporting women and important causes through her podcast and other projects.
